Who we are
The North African Society of Alberta (NASA) is a vibrant community dedicated to celebrating and sharing the rich cultural heritage of North African countries, including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, and Mauritania.
NASA began as a student club at MacEwan, and after seeing the reception to our events and the difference we made, it was clear that we needed to expand province-wide. Our society provides a space for everyone to connect, learn, and engage in discussions about North African history, traditions, and current events.
We host cultural events, social gatherings, and educational workshops, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting cross-cultural understanding. Whether you're from North Africa or simply interested in the region, NASA welcomes everyone to join and celebrate our diverse heritage.
